MeetTutors.com is a website ("the Site") where tutors can find students and students/parents can find tutors. It is a trustworthy, convenient and effective online environment where tutors, students and parents can search and ultimately find a winning match. Use of the Site and/or the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy which is as follows.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

We collect information from you (a) to enable provision of information required to provide the service of MeetTutors.com, (b) to conduct backup of our technical interface, and (c) to track our business objectives and marketing efforts. The information is divided into two categories: "private information", which consists of information that personally identify a user (i.e., full name, email address, etc.) and "public information", public disclosure of which under display name of user's choice would not personally identify a user (grade, subject, etc.). The private information should be kept confidential at all times and the public information will be displayed on the Site for the search purpose.

USE OF INFORMATION

We use email address and other personal information to facilitate efficient operation of the Site, to communicate with users in relation to transactions and activities on the Site (including, but not limited to, confirmation emails, and important notices that a user should be aware of in order to continue membership with MeetTutors.com), and to forward anonymous emails from other users of the Site.

We may review all demographic information. We disclose demographic information on the Site to facilitate the search process. We may also share demographic information with advertisers on an anonymous and aggregated basis.

We currently contract with third parties to help manage and optimize our business and communications. While we diligently obligate such third parties to respect our privacy policy with you, we cannot be responsible to monitor and enforce such obligations and you agree that our limitation of liability as set out in Terms of Use applies to limit our damages to you.

You agree that MeetTutors.com and MeetTutors Online Inc. may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal requirements, a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on us or our Site, (b) enforce this Agreement, (c) respond to claims that your information or activities violates the rights of third parties; or (d) protect the rights, property or personal safety of MeetTutors.com, MeetTutors Online Inc., its employees, users and the public.

COOKIES and IP ADDRESS

We use cookies in order to store session information for your use of our Site. You must accept cookies in order to navigate the Sites, register for our membership and communicate through our Site. We create standard network logs containing the IP address of systems connecting to our Site.

MODIFICATION TO PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. In the event that we decide to make amendments to our privacy policy, we will notify you in a timely manner via email or announcement on the Site so that you understand what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. INFORMATION UPDATE

You reserve the right to access to and make changes to your private and public information you have provided to us at anytime by visiting the My Account of the Site. Please be aware that user ID is not subject to modification for security reasons and that it may take several hours for the changes you make to become effective on the public areas of the Site due to time for technical support.
